The state government has failed to provide security to women: Aarti Singh

Ranchi, July 16 (HS). On Tuesday, BJP State Women's Front President Arti Singh along with party officials reached RIMS Hospital and met the victim and her family members in connection with the gang rape of a minor girl in Itki block.

The victim had gone to Rath Mela on a scooter on July 7. While returning, she was gang-raped. BJP Mahila Morcha has demanded the harshest punishment to ensure justice for the victim. Along with this, questions have also been raised on the law and order situation in the state. They said that the state government is not able to provide security to tribal daughters-in-law and daughters. Incidents of rape are happening every day. Such a government needs to be overthrown. They said that we will agitate to ensure justice for the minor.

Those who met the victim included State Women’s Front general secretary Manjulata Dubey, Dr Seema Singh, minister Renu Tirkey, media in-charge Neelam Chaudhry, social media in-charge Ranjit Singh, spokesperson Suchita Singh, office minister Babita Verma and Sujata Singh.
