Jaipur, 6 August (HS). National Handloom Day will be celebrated across the country on 7 August. This is the day to salute the skill of artisans. Along with this, World Tribal Day will be celebrated on 9 August. Keeping both the occasions in mind, Jawahar Kala Kendra is organizing a Heritage to Development Exhibition in Alankar Gallery from 11 to 17 August under the Incredible August program. In the exhibition, the heritage of handloom will be preserved from all over the country and displayed here, this will show the sequence of development of heritage art. Aari-Tari, Zardari, Bandhej, Phulkari and other handloom works will be seen in it. Along with this, artisans coming from different regions will showcase handloom products and other art works popular in the tribal community. The sweetness of music will also be mixed in the program. On 11 August at 10 am, in the Music of the Charkha program, senior artist Rama Sundaram will present the singing of the verses of Sant Kabir, Sant Namdev etc. in Rangayan.
Director General of Jawahar Kala Kendra and Principal Secretary of Art and Culture Department, Gayatri Rathore said that Rajasthan's art and culture is very rich. The products of the state's artisans are being liked all over the world. This is our heritage which has come a long way and reached this level of development. The Heritage to Development Exhibition is being organized to recognize the skills of regional artisans and provide them a platform.
