Kishanganj, 23 April (Hindus). Today, the festival of Hanuman Jayanti is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. There is a huge crowd of devotees in the temples to have darshan of Lord Bajrangbali. A two-day Hanuman Jayanti Mahotsav was inaugurated at the Hanuman Temple located in the railway station premises. On this occasion, Akhand Harinam Sankirtan, Akhand Havan etc. are being organized. A procession was also taken out on the occasion of the birth anniversary. The procession started from Hanuman Temple and reached Bhirani Temple via Railway Colony, Daymarket, Hospital Road, Gandhi Chowk, Main Market. Hundreds of women, youth, children etc. participated in the procession.
On Tuesday, Guru Saket, the priest of Mahakal temple, told that Mahabali Hanuman was born on Tuesday, the full moon date of Chaitra month. For this reason, every year the birth anniversary of Hanuman ji, a great devotee of Lord Shri Ram, is celebrated on this day. He told that today's Hanuman Jayanti is very special, because it is being said that this time exactly the same auspicious yogas are being formed as were formed during the birth anniversary of Hanuman ji in Tretayug. In such a situation, worshiping on this day gives many times more results.
Guru Saket says that Hanuman ji, son of Monkey King Kesari and Mother Anjana, is considered the 11th Rudra incarnation of Lord Shiva. By performing proper puja on the day of Hanuman Janmotsav, all the troubles of the devotee end. With this, the fear of untimely death along with happiness, prosperity and wealth ends.
