Bhopal, August 30 (HS). Training of young parliament in-charges was organized through video conferencing on Friday at Pt. Kunjilal Dubey National Parliamentary University in the capital Bhopal. Additional Chief Secretary Parliamentary Affairs Department KC Gupta participated in its inaugural session.
Addressing the program, the Additional Chief Secretary told the Youth Parliament in-charges that India's democracy has a special identity in the world due to its uniqueness. The country's democracy is counted as the largest democratic country in the world. He said that the role of Youth Parliament in-charges is more important. They should stage Youth Parliament in their educational institutions and ensure the participation of maximum number of students. He said that children and youth are the future of the country. It is important for them to have knowledge of the parliamentary system. The program was also addressed by Dr. N.K. Thapak, Vice Chancellor, LNCT University and Dr. Dharmendra Pare, Director, Tribal Museum.
At the beginning of the program, the director of the Parliamentary Bench, Dr. Pratima Yadav, said that this Parliamentary Bench has been operating continuously since 1998. Efforts are being made to inform children and youth about the principles of the parliamentary system through the Parliamentary Bench. In today's program held at the Parliamentary Bench, through video conferencing, the Youth Parliament in-charges of the schools of the state and the colleges of Barkatullah University Bhopal were given detailed information about the staging of the Youth Parliament.
In the first session of the programme, Deputy Secretary of the Union Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs A.B. Acharya answered the questions of the Youth Parliament in-charges. He said that democracy is strengthened by the discipline and loyalty of the citizens. At the end of the programme, an online clipping of the Youth Parliament performance staged by Sagar Public School, Katara Extension, Bhopal was shown to everyone.
