Dated 12.09.2026, today at Gandhi Bhawan Auditorium, Lucknow, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya ji participated as the chief guest in the state conference and educational upgradation symposium of Uttar Pradesh Principal Council and addressed the principals, educationists and teachers.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the role of principals is very important in giving a new direction to the quality of education, values and all-round development of students. The Principal is at the center of the educational system of the school and under his leadership the students develop knowledge, discipline, values, patriotism and a sense of responsibility.
He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath, the double engine government is continuously working towards making the education system in Uttar Pradesh modern, quality, technology based and employment oriented. The aim of the government is that every student of the state should get quality education and should get adequate opportunities to progress according to his talent and ability.
Shri Maurya ji said that the government is paying special attention to expansion of basic facilities in schools, smart classes, digital education, technical resources, libraries, laboratories and rejuvenation of schools. Along with providing better educational environment to the schools of the state, continuous efforts are being made to make the role of teachers and principals more effective.
He said that through Mission Kayakalp, there has been extensive improvement in the infrastructure facilities in council schools. Under Operation Kayakalp, drinking water, toilets, electricity system, furniture, maintenance of buildings and other basic facilities have been improved in schools. This has created a safe, clean and better learning environment for the students.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government considers education not only as a medium to get employment but also as an important basis for character building, values, nation building and building a developed India. According to the new education policy, work is being done to develop skills, creativity, innovation and leadership abilities among the students along with knowledge.
He called upon the principals and teachers to prepare students for future challenges by adopting new technology and innovation as per the changing times. He said that teachers are nation builders and without their empowerment a strong and developed society cannot be imagined.
Shri Maurya ji said that taking forward Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolve of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’, the government is committed to providing the benefits of education and development to every section of the society. Brightening the future of the children of the state and making them capable of world-class competition are among the priorities of the government.
