Dhamtari, September 30 (HS). These days, work of small scale industry (food park) is going on in Gram Panchayat Shyamatrai, adjacent to Dhamtari city, in which road construction is currently in progress. The village cremation ground is on the same road, which has been blocked. The Village Development Committee has demanded the Collector to reach the Collectorate on September 30 and open the road to the cremation ground.
Chairman of Village Development Committee Village Shyamatrai Tikaram Sahu, Secretary Roshan Sahu, Vice President Pukhraj Sahu told that these days the work of small scale industry is going on here (Food Park), in which road construction is still in progress. The village cremation ground is on the same road, which has been blocked. One has to come and go for agricultural work. When someone dies, we villagers are facing great difficulty in taking the dead body to the cremation ground because a bridge is being built on the way. There is mud everywhere. The villagers have to go to and from the agricultural market. Two wheeler and four wheeler are not able to move. The construction agency was contacted two months ago but the road has not been opened yet.
The villagers have demanded the Collector to open the road. Those making demands include Neelkanth Sahu, Balaram Sahu, Naresh Sahu, Tukaram Sahu, Dwarka and others.
