Drinking water is very important for our body. It regulates the temperature of body tissues and cells and helps in the proper functioning of all organs. In particular, abundance of water is essential for the kidneys. Generally, it is advised to drink 7 to 8 glasses of water a day, but in winter people often drink less water, which can cause many health problems.

Side effects of drinking less water:

Due to dehydration, a person may have problems like weakness, dizziness, and vomiting. Apart from this, heartbeat may also increase and there is additional pressure on the kidneys. Water also helps in maintaining balanced body temperature.

Dehydration problem in winter:

In winter, sweating is less and heat is not felt, due to which people forget to drink water. If you also forget to drink water throughout the day, then you need to set a target for yourself.

Ways to set a target to drink water throughout the day:

Instagram content creator Gunjan Taneja shares a simple way to set a water drinking goal. Typically, a person sleeps for about 7-8 hours out of 24 hours a day, which means he is awake for about 16 hours.

You can set a goal to drink a glass of water every two hours during these 16 hours. For example:

  • Drink a glass of water between 8 and 10 in the morning.
  • Then drink another glass of water between 10 and 12 o’clock.

Similarly, follow this method of drinking a glass of water every two hours throughout the day. This way, you can easily meet the target of drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day and avoid water shortage in winters.
