There are only a few days left for the first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, in such a situation there is a ruckus in Bihar regarding the distribution of seats under the Grand Alliance. However, today finally a consensus has been reached on the issue of seat sharing in Bihar. Out of 40 seats, RJD will contest on 26 seats, Congress on 9 seats and Left parties on 5 seats. The Left parties agreed to give one seat of Begusarai to CPI and one seat of Khagaria to CPI(M). Whereas CPI(ML) has been given three seats Nalanda, Arrah and Karakat.
Pappu and Kanhaiya's hope is now over
As soon as Congress got Purnia seat, it became clear that now it is impossible for Pappu Yadav to contest elections from here. It is noteworthy that Pappu Yadav has often talked about contesting elections from this seat. He said that he can leave the world but not Purnia seat. After the distribution of seats, it is now believed that Pappu Yadav can contest elections from Purnia as an independent candidate. Apart from this, Begusarai seat has gone to CPI's account, hence Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar's hope of contesting elections from here is now over.
