Jaipur, 4 October (Hindustan Reporter). Deputy Chief Minister and Women and Child Development Minister Dia Kumari inaugurated the state level Amrita Haat by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp on Friday evening in the south campus of Jawahar Kala Kendra in the presence of Government Secretary Women and Child Development Mahendra Soni. This state level Amrita Haat has been organized from Friday to October 13 (Sunday) every day from 11 am to 9 pm.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari visited 123 stalls set up for the sale of value-added products manufactured by 80 women self-help groups and women from different districts of Rajasthan at the state level Amrita Haat. While visiting various stalls, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari appreciated the products manufactured by women of self-help groups and also purchased them. He purchased the products and paid for them online through UPI. He advised young artists to do marketing using social media. Speaking to the media on this occasion, she said that the state government is trying to provide opportunities, platform and market to women artisans.
Diya Kumari said that the handmade products made by the women of self-help groups are excellent. A lot of hard work goes into their construction. Poor women prepare wonderful products with the skills of their hands and display them for sale in markets like Amrita Haat. He said that in this exhibition various handicrafts of Rajasthan have been given an opportunity to move forward by providing a platform. We should encourage these women by buying their products who represent the village and their amazing artistry. An event like Rising Rajasthan will provide a large number of opportunities to purchase the products of these artists. He said that as residents of Rajasthan, we should promote the art culture here. We should be vocal for local.
Diya Kumari was attracted by the artistic cloth bags made by the self-help group of Barmer. He appreciated the bag and purchased it by making online payment with immediate effect. Along with this, she purchased many artistic products like cushions, sarees, dupattas, decorative items. There he tasted namkeen, papad, pickle churan and made purchases. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari interacted with the women of self-help groups and praised their products. Diya Kumari inspired women and young artists of self-help groups to market their products through social media. He advised to share photos and videos of products on social media. Dia Kumari, after watching the Kalbelia dance presented in a series of cultural programs here, praised the art of these artists and encouraged them.
Government Secretary Mahendra Soni said that cultural programs, selfie point, do it your self corner, self defense training demo, food court etc. are the main attractions of this state level Amrita Haat. He said that according to the taste of the visitors, Samosa, Tandoori Tea, Bhel-Puri, Tea-Coffee, Ice Cream and many delicious items have been made available in the fair premises. He said that there is free entry for the general public in this state level Amrita Haat, where they can see artistic and cultural programs along with entertainment and festivities and can also do shopping. He said that handicrafts, embroidery, lac bangles, papier mache items, salwar suits, terracotta, artificial jewellery, chicken and zari work, glass and patch work, everyone's favorite pickles, murabba, spices and other attractive handmade products are available in the haat.
On this occasion, Director Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) OP Bunkar, Additional Director Women Officer Neetu Rajeshwar, Additional Director Bharat Bhushan, Deputy Director Women Empowerment Jaipur Rajesh Dogival, Vijayashree and other departmental officers were present.
