West Champaran (Bagaha), July 15 (HS). Two buses were washed away in an accident after a landslide on Friday in Trishuli, neighboring country Nepal, adjacent to Valmikinagar, located on the India-Nepal border. Out of about 63 people travelling in the bus, only 3 people were able to survive. The remaining 60 people were swept away in the flow of water, whose search is continuing by the Nepal Police.
In the same sequence, Nepal Police has recovered two bodies that had been washed away in Gandak Barrage on Sunday evening and three bodies on Monday. The process of removing a body stuck in the gate is underway. On Sunday evening, two bodies were seen floating in the water in gate number four and six of Tirhut Canal near the control room of the Water Resources Department of Gandak Barrage. The Nepal administration was informed about this.
On receiving the information, the Nepal Police and Nepal Armed Force team reached the spot, took out both the bodies from the water and sent them to the hospital in Chitwan region of Nepal for postmortem.
Giving information in this regard, Sub Inspector Mahesh Rai Majhi of Triveni Nepal Police Gorkha Gan Triveni Post said that on Sunday two dead bodies were taken out from the Gandak River, which could not be identified.
Three other bodies were found on Monday. The bodies of one woman and two men were recovered. The process of recovering the third body is underway. All the four bodies recovered have been sent to Chitwan Pradesh Hospital for post-mortem. He said that the possibility of more bodies floating in the river cannot be ruled out. The four bodies recovered so far have not been identified.
