Rae Bareli, 02 December (Hindus). A prisoner brought before the civil court threw chilli powder in the constable’s eyes and started running away. However, the constable showed courage and caught him. The incident took place on Monday evening, when the prisoner was being boarded on the vehicle to be taken back to jail after being produced in the court. The constable has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.

Detainee Saif Imran, resident of Hajipur Amethi, was brought before the court by Himanshu Singh posted in Kotwali area of ​​Rae Bareli city. As soon as the prisoner got the chance, he threw chilli powder in his eyes and started running away. However, the soldier displayed courage and caught the prisoner. Later the lawyers caught him and handed him over to the police. The constable has been admitted to the district hospital due to chilli hitting his eyes. The prisoner has been in jail since 2020 on charges of murder. Dr. Roshan Patel, ENT specialist of the district hospital, said that the soldier was brought for treatment. After improvement, he was discharged from the hospital.
