Hamirpur, 06 September (HS). After 77 years, the picture of the Transport Corporation depot and workshop in Hamirpur will now change. For this, the government has released several crores of rupees and has given the green signal to build a workshop on the Kanpur-Sagar National Highway across the Betwa bridge. With the construction of the Roadways workshop, passengers will now get relief from the buses breaking down midway.

Due to the workshop and depot operating at the same place, there is a jam on the main road in front of the depot every day. Due to which common people have to face a lot of trouble due to the jam. There are about five dozen buses in this depot, which due to lack of space, are parked outside the depot on the Hamirpur-Kalpi road. Many accidents have also happened here due to jam. About nine thousand passengers pass through this depot of Transport Corporation every day. For the last several years, there was a demand to build a workshop of the depot, but due to non-availability of land, the officials of the depot were also troubled.
