Dehradun, 2 December (HS). Central projects are paving the way for progress in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. In this, central investment will become the axis of development and new opportunities for investment and employment will be created in the district. On the initiative of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, national projects have gained momentum. District Magistrate Savin Bansal on Monday conducted on-site inspection of Ponta-Ballupur Highway and other important projects. He took stock of the progress of the construction works and gave instructions on the spot to remove the obstacles coming in the way. The DM stressed on completing the highway construction work soon, so that a new direction can be given to the development in the district. DM solved various problems on the spot.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate stressed the need to speed up the highway construction work. He said that this project is of utmost importance for regional connectivity and development. The DM gave instructions to immediately dispose of the approval of 19 hectares of compensatory land which was hindering the project. The process of land acquisition under the project from Asharodi to Jhajhra has been completed. Local residents raised the demand for an underpass, regarding which the DM asked the NHAI officials to hold a meeting with the villagers to assess their demands and ensure necessary action as per the set standards.
Inspection of Mussoorie Bypass
DM took stock of the status of construction of Mussoorie bypass from Sudhowala and studied the project map in depth. He instructed the officials that the work should be completed within the time limit, so that the traffic problem of the area can be solved.
The District Magistrate said that these projects of the Central Government will create new opportunities for investment and employment in the district. He assured NHAI of all possible cooperation from the administration and appealed to complete the projects on priority basis.
