According to the recent meeting of the Executive Committee of the Gujarat Road Safety Authority (GRSA), 3,899 people have lost their lives in road accidents between January and June this year, i.e. during the first six months of the current calendar year.

Strict adherence to traffic rules
Recently, strict measures are being taken by the police to ensure strict compliance of traffic rules across the state. Which has helped in reducing the number of violations (Traffic Videos Violations) and following the rules in the state. This may reduce the number of road accident deaths from 4,235 in January-June, 2023 to 3,899 in this period this year. However, it is still at a worrying level.

The number of deaths in road accidents during January-June 2023 was 4,235, which is 3899 during this period this year. Thus, the number of deaths in road accidents in the state has decreased by about 8 percent compared to last year.
