Lucknow, September 12 (HS). On the occasion of the death anniversary of late Mahant Avaidyanath, a seminar was organized on the topic of social harmony – what is it? Why and how is it? at Swami Haricharan Das Ashram, Jagat Kuti Naka Hindola on Thursday. The seminar began after the guests offered flowers to the picture of Mahant Avaidyanath.
Speaking as the keynote speaker, Director-in-charge of Rashtradharma, Sarvesh Chandra Dwivedi said that the main objective of social harmony is to create brotherhood, goodwill and affinity among the Hindu society. He said that a strong nation can be built only by walking in harmony with them and not by discriminating against anyone on the basis of caste and language.
Sarvesh Chandra Dwivedi said that Mahant Avaidyanath did not believe in untouchability at all. He treated people of all castes equally. Social harmony was in his every vein.
Swami Murari Das, head of Rashtriya Ekta Mission, said that we need to make a strong nation by completely eradicating untouchability from the society. Social harmony means that rising above caste and class and taking the entire society along as one family is called harmony.
While introducing the seminar, Rajendra Saxena, the main road chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Eastern Uttar Pradesh region, said that the main objective of social harmony is affection, trust, harmony, respect towards the individual and we see equal behavior with everyone as social harmony.
While presiding over the seminar, Rajesh Singh Sengar said that a strong nation will be built through social harmony. The British worked to destroy our social system. We were cut off from our original culture through conspiracy.
On this occasion, co-convener of Muslim National Forum Mohammad Islam Abbas, senior advocate Vinay Shahi, Dr. Satyendra Tripathi, Dr. Sarvjeet Singh and Dr. Santosh Tiwari expressed their views.
