Prayagraj, 28 October (Hindustan Reporter). Crores of devotees and tourists from every corner of the world are expected to attend the Mahakumbh that is going to be organized in Prayagraj. To make this grand event memorable, the roads, squares, walls as well as temples and bridges of the city are being decorated. Considering these preparations, not only will Sangamnagar look divine during the day, the Yogi government has also taken the initiative to make its aura supernatural at night. The arrangement of facade lighting on many mythological temples and buildings of Prayagraj is a part of this preparation.
5 mythological temples of Kumbhnagar will be illuminated with facade lighting
The religious city Prayagraj is also called the city of temples. The mythological temples here remain the center of faith and attraction for devotees and tourists coming from all over the country and abroad. The Yogi government of the state is giving them a new look in the Mahakumbh.
Prayagraj's Regional Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh says that this time facade lighting work is being done in five mythological temples of the district. The temples that have been selected for this include Maa Alop Shankari Devi Temple, Shri Shankar Viman Mandapam Temple, Shri Hanumant Niketan Temple of Civil Lines, Shringi Rishi Temple of Shringverpur Dham and Nagavasuki Temple. Apart from this, facade lighting work will also be done in the fort and Shastri bridge located on the banks of Yamuna. For this, administrative approval of Rs 18.94 crore has been received.
New lighting system will be a boon for night tourism
Facade lighting is completely different from general lighting. It is used to enhance the architectural beauty of a building after sunset. While in general lighting it is important to illuminate the structure, in facade lighting the building or structure has to be illuminated in an artistic style so that it becomes a center of attraction for tourists.
There are many ways to beautifully highlight the beauty of a building or structure at night. The method depends on the structure that is to be illuminated. Spotlight, flood light, landscape spotlight, recessed down light, track light, linear light and panel light will be used in this. According to the Regional Tourism Officer, devotees and tourists coming to Mahakumbh will be able to see these temples in this well-equipped and grand form at night. This will promote night tourism.
