Varanasi, 30 October (HIST). The mortal remains of 1984 batch IPS Subesh Kumar Singh, former DG of Uttar Pradesh, merged into Panchatatva at Mokshatirtha Manikarnikaghat on Wednesday evening. His last rites were performed with full respect.
IPS Subesh Kumar Singh (68), who retired from the post of DG, breathed his last at his residence in Lucknow late on Tuesday night. He was suffering from cancer for a long time. There was an outpouring of condolence and tribute on his death. The police officers who worked with him also paid tribute to him through social media. The mortal remains of retired IPS Subesh Kumar Singh was brought to the Reserve Police Lines of Varanasi. Here Varanasi Police Commissioner Mohit Aggarwal paid his heartfelt tribute by placing a wreath on the mortal remains. After this, the police personnel gave a condolence salute in his honor and the body was taken to Manikarnikaghat with full respect.
IPS Subesh Singh, originally from Bhagalpur, was selected in the 1984 batch of the Indian Police Service. In 1997, he got the charge of SSP in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. After this, after traveling as DIG, IG and ADG in many zones, he retired as DG.
