Jalaun, 27 July (HS). In the last one and a half months, five girls have gone missing from Jalaun city. There is anger brewing among Hindu organizations regarding this and they have submitted a memorandum to the district officials. They had threatened to go on a hunger strike if the police did not recover the girls. Late night strategies were being made regarding this, when the district administration got wind of it, the DM and SP reached the spot and asked not to go on a hunger strike. The hunger strike was postponed on the assurance of the officials.
Let us tell you that in Jalaun town, youths of a particular sect were targeting girls of Hindu society. Hindu organizations protested several times regarding this and submitted a memorandum to the higher officials expressing anger. But angry at not taking any action, Hindu organizations had warned of indefinite hunger strike. They were preparing their strategy regarding this on Friday night. Somehow the police got wind of this and the SP was informed about it. DM Rajesh Kumar and SP Durgesh Kumar reached the spot and told the people present there not to go on hunger strike. Apart from this, he assured that concrete steps will be taken soon and action like bulldozer etc. will also be implemented on the houses of people who convert or get others to convert.
