Collector Namrata Gandhi held a meeting of district level officers and assigned responsibility to the officers for the preparation of the main function of Independence Day to be celebrated on August 15. The collector gave instructions to ensure the arrangements for celebrating the main function to be held at 9 am in a dignified and interesting manner in the Dr. Shobharam Dewangan Government Higher Secondary School premises.
The collector has appealed to hoist the flag in all government, public buildings, monuments of national importance as well as private institutions to light up the flag and illuminate the buildings at night. The families of the martyrs of Naxalite violence will be honored in the Independence Day celebrations. The collector has instructed the officials to hoist the flag in all offices by 7:30 am. During this, he also asked to take full care while hoisting the flag. For the successful conduct of the function, the collector has instructed the Municipal Corporation Commissioner to ensure cleanliness of the main venue. Along with this, the officials were assigned responsibilities for the stage, printing of invitation cards, welcoming the visitors, law and order, medical facilities, mike, generator, Chief Minister's message to the public, photography, videography, march past and instructed to follow it seriously. It is worth mentioning that the final rehearsal will be held in the Dr. Shobharam Devangan School premises on August 13 at 9 am in the presence of the Collector and Superintendent of Police, in which all the in-charge officers will be compulsorily present. The Chief Medical and Health Officer will be responsible for ensuring the availability of ambulance, medicines and medical team at the event venue on August 13 and 15.
