Accusation of unfulfilled desires… Rajeev Kumar's reply to Shayra

– Rahiman The thread of love, do not break the mind, if broken it should not be found again, you will get Natto Parijai: Quoted couplets of Rahim

The issue of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) came up while announcing the schedule of Lok Sabha elections. At the end of the press conference, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar talked about EVMs and took a dig at those who tamper with EVMs.

Referring to the people who repeatedly raised questions on EVMs, Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar said, 'Don't blame us for unfulfilled desires every time, you say that EVMs are not loyal to themselves.'

Rajiv Kumar urged political parties to avoid personal attacks and maintain decorum during the election campaign. After this, quoting the famous Urdu poet Bashir Badr, he said, 'Stop the enmity but let it echo, whenever we become friends, don't be ashamed.'

He said that nowadays the process of becoming friends and enemies has become a little faster. Therefore, parties should not talk so much that they become enemies of each other. Spoken words are digitally recorded forever and played back again and again. Therefore, political parties should avoid creating dirty digital memories of bad words. Because once there is a fight, the love relationship breaks and it becomes difficult to reconnect. During this, while reciting Rahim's couplet, he said, 'Rahiman, the thread of love, don't break the mind, break it, don't meet, mile nato parijaya.'
