The last day for withdrawal of nomination has passed, no candidate has withdrawn his nomination

Gopeshwar, June 26 (HS). The last day of withdrawal of nomination for Badrinath assembly by-election has passed. No candidate has withdrawn his nomination. In this way, now four candidates are in the fray for Badrinath assembly by-election. These include Rajendra Singh Bhandari of BJP, Lakhpat Singh Butola of Congress, Himmat Singh Negi of Sainik Samaj Party and independent candidate Naval Kishore Khali.

Returning Officer RK Pandey said that 26th June was the last date for withdrawal of nomination. None of the four candidates who had filed nomination has withdrawn their nomination. The independent candidates have been allotted symbols based on their preference. Voting for the by-election will be held on 10th July and counting of votes will be done on 13th July.
