This is how the entire system of NEET counseling works
NEET counseling mainly takes place at two levels: All India Quota (AIQ – 15%) and State Quota (85%). To participate in the All India Counseling conducted by MCC, you have to register on the official website, where you select the colleges and courses of your choice on a priority basis. At the same time, for state quota, it is mandatory for you to register separately on the medical counseling website of the concerned state. College allotment completely depends on your NEET rank, category and availability of seats, so be very careful during choice filling.
Important tips to get success in counselling
To secure admission, good marks are not enough, but the right counseling strategy is also important. First of all, keep all your documents ready like NEET admit card, scorecard, class 10th and 12th marksheet, caste certificate and identity card. While choosing a college, do not just fill the names of the top colleges, but also keep ready a list of those colleges according to your rank where the cut-off has been within the range of your score in the previous years. Keep a close eye on the dates and guidelines of each round during counselling.
