The journey to Chardham has started, the doors of Kedarnath were opened for pilgrims today, thousands of pilgrims arrived

Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand has started from today. Kedarnath lockers were opened at 6.55 am. Along with thousands of devotees, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also arrived with his wife for darshan. Apart from Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunetri temples will also open today while Badrinath temple will be darshan from May 12.

The day temperature is being recorded at 0 to 3 degrees in these Dhams. The mercury is reaching minus at night. Despite this, about 10 thousand pilgrims have reached Gaurikund, 16 km before Kedarnath Dham. Last year this figure was between 7 to 8 thousand. There are about 1500 rooms here, which are full. Booking of 5545 registered mules has been done.

More than 15 thousand passengers have reached Haridwar and Rishikesh. So far, more than 22.15 lakh pilgrims have registered for the Chardham Yatra. Last year a record 55 lakh people had come.
