New Delhi. The corridor being built from the country’s capital Delhi to Panipat in Haryana has now been extended up to Karnal. Recently, in a meeting held in Delhi between Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Haryana Chief Minister Naib Saini, it was agreed to run rapid rail from Panipat to Karnal. Survey of the rapid rail corridor will be done soon. Survey has been done till Panipat, but due to lack of budget, work on this project has not started yet. Now after its expansion till Karnal, it is expected that work on it will start soon. Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) will be built from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Karnal.

The distance from Delhi to Karnal is 135 kilometers. At present it takes two and a half hours to go from Karnal to Delhi by road. Running the Rapid Rail between Delhi-Karnal will significantly reduce the travel time and the Rapid Rail will cover the distance between the two cities in just 45 minutes. The rapid rail running on this route will run at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour.

17 metro stations will be built from Delhi to Karnal

After the extension of Delhi-Panipat Rapid Metro Rail Line to Karnal, metro stations have also been finalized. 17 metro stations will be built from Delhi to Karnal. Of these, 3 stations will be in Karnal. Work on Delhi-Karnal Rapid Rail Line will start soon. Along with the Central Government, the Haryana Government is also completely serious about this project. The work of marking the train route and its stations has been started.

Train will run in 6 to 10 minutes

Rapid rail service will be available to passengers in 6 to 10 minutes. 250 people will be able to travel at a time in this train. Apart from Karnal, people of Kurukshetra, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kaithal and Chandigarh will benefit from the rapid rail running between Delhi-Karnal. After its implementation, people’s time and money will be saved.

A large number of people from North Haryana and other areas live in Delhi and NCR region for studies and jobs. Due to being away from home, they are unable to travel, hence night rest is the only option. With the launch of Rapid Metro, travel will become easier and people will also be freed from the hassle of night stay.
