The journey of two and a half hours will be completed in 25 minutes, new expressway will open on 12th November

New Expressway: Now drivers going from the national capital to Sohna in Haryana will not have to get stuck in traffic jams in congested areas like Yamuna Khadar, Okhla Vihar and Batla House. The Delhi portion of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway can be opened for the general public from November 12. With the opening of this part of the expressway, it will take only 25 minutes to reach Sohna from Maharani Bagh. At present this journey is completed in about two and a half hours. South Delhi MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri has informed that the Delhi portion of the expressway will open soon.

MP Bidhuri said that this six-lane expressway and two bridges (one on Agra Canal and the other on Gurgaon Canal) are ready to open. Bidhuri said, “With the opening of this highway and bridges, Mathura Road will be completely free from jams.”

Vehicles will run at high speed on elevated road

The elevated portion of the corridor passes through congested areas like Yamuna Khadar, Okhla Vihar and Batla House along the banks of river Yamuna. The downward ramp has been built near Maharani Bagh and it will cross the road near the Ashram entrance of the DND flyover. Bidhuri said Rs 5,500 crore has been spent on these ambitious projects. This road can be used to go towards Faridabad, Palwal and Sohna.

Bidhuri said, “This is not just an alternative route. This will provide a permanent solution to the problem of severe traffic jam on Mathura Road. It takes two and a half hours to reach Sohna from Maharani Bagh, but after the opening of these bridges and highways, the travel time will reduce to just 25 minutes.”

Mithapur to Kali interchange section also ready

The 24 km long section of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway from Mithapur to Kali Interchange on Faridabad Bypass is ready. Entry and exit points have been made on the bypass at Sector-30 Etmadpur, Sector-28, Baselwa Colony, Khedipul, near BPTP bridge, Sector-2, Sector-2 IMT. Underpasses have been built at all these places. This section is also expected to open soon.
