They were writing a letter to the Central Government appealing to return Z+ security, which the Central Government has accepted. Earlier, paramilitary force personnel were deployed for their security, but now only Punjab Police personnel will protect them. It is noteworthy that Giani Harpreet Singh had been demanding this from the Central Government for a long time.

A few days ago, after the dispute with Virsa Singh Valtoha, he had also resigned from the post of Jathedar, however, following the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib’s Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh, his resignation was rejected by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Even at that time, Giani Harpreet Singh had appealed to the Central Government to withdraw the security.
