The incident of rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata has shamed humanity | News India

New Delhi: The incident of rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital has shamed humanity. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said at Rishikesh AIIMS on Sunday that humanity is ashamed of such a brutal incident. During this, he attacked Mamata Banerjee and Kapil Sibal and asked them to apologize.

Condemning the use of the term 'special disorder' in the context of the rape and murder incident in Kolkata, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said, “Such comments add to our pain and rub salt to our wounded conscience.”

He said, there are certain voices that raise concern when things happen that shame humanity. These voices add to our pain. It is even more reprehensible when a Member of Parliament, a senior lawyer, says these things. There can be no excuse for such terrible ideas. I urge those who have been misled in this way to reconsider and apologise publicly,” the Vice President said. He targeted Kapil Sibal.

He said that these incidents are not such incidents that can be seen from a political perspective. This political approach is dangerous. Whatever happened in Kolkata comes under the purview of responsibility. Society is also responsible for this. Society cannot escape its responsibility. This incident is not a matter of government or political parties. In such incidents, all stakeholders need to come on one platform.
