The implementation of noise pollution law should not be a system to only control Sanatanis and spread fear: Ishwar Rao | News India

Jagdalpur, 7 September (HS). A representative group of Sarva Hindu Samaj, led by advocate Ishwar Rao, on Saturday handed over a memorandum to the district administration to implement the noise pollution control law equally on all the followers of different religions in the name of noise pollution control. It was said that several years ago, the Supreme Court had given orders regarding noise pollution control and the Noise Pollution Control Act is in force. But the district administration is seen to be reluctant to implement it, especially during Sanatani festivals, which causes anger among the Sanatanis.

Ishwar Rao said that all Sanatanis are determined to celebrate Shri Ganesh Chaturthi with great joy and enthusiasm and the district administration is also aware of this fact. In such a situation, the district administration should make arrangements for celebrating Shri Ganesh Chaturthi in a convenient and joyous manner and there should not be any arrangement that creates doubt, lack of enthusiasm or fear among the organisers of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi festival. If the Noise Pollution Control Act is to be implemented then the noise rule from 6 am to 10 pm should be equally applicable to all religionists; only the Sanatanis should not be controlled. He said that noise pollution should be banned before 6 am.
