New Delhi, September 21 (HS). Everyone will be stunned for a moment after listening to the hair-raising tales of the victims of Naxalite violence in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. The victims of Naxalite violence in Bastar, who have been living under the shadow of guns, violence, landmines, bullets for the last forty years, are now worried about the future of their children. Leaving behind the painful incidents that happened to them, they now want to secure the future of their children. They want to get back the Bastar of 40 years ago. The sense of peace and security should be restored in the region. Especially those women who lost their hands and legs, eyes in landmine blasts, some lost their husbands, and some saw their sons die in front of their eyes. The victim women now want to cherish the future of their children. With this hope, about 50 victims of Naxalite violence from Bastar met President Draupadi Murmu and Home Minister Amit Shah in the capital.

For the first time, victims of Naxal violence reached the capital under the banner of Bastar Shanti Samiti and despite being scared, openly narrated their ordeal. Radha Salam, who studies in the ninth grade, and her brother suffered several body parts injuries due to the IED blast. Radha, a resident of Kongera village in Bastar, says that girls there are scared to step out of their homes in the evening. Even inside the house, they tremble at the sound of someone knocking at the door at night. Because Naxalites pick up people from their homes and shoot them.

Bhuvaneshwari, a resident of Dantewada who is doing post graduation, has seen the murder of her father, uncle and all elder relatives. She says that the Naxalites took her father from her house and shot him. They killed her uncle in the same way. Now the situation is such that if a dog barks in the area, the women of the house start trembling. She says that there are many houses in the village in which no man is left. The Naxalites burnt everyone. That is why we want the government to free the area from this problem.

Nikita Avalam of Bijapur is pregnant. Her face shows more fear than happiness. 27-year-old Nikita's husband lost his hands in a landmine explosion. Many organs were affected. She is now worried about the future of her unborn child. She says that many districts are affected by Naxalism. Neither children are able to study in the villages nor are the health services in good condition. Naxalites blow up the roads. On top of that, there is the fear of them coming to her village and causing violence. She is 12th pass and now she wants to teach the children in the village but she is afraid that Naxalites may target her too.

Bhima Markam, a resident of Sakin Kondapara in Dantewada, suffered severe damage to her left leg in an IED blast eight years ago. This blast caused injuries to her entire body. She says that her husband had already died, due to which she started rearing animals to support the family. But the IED blast eight years ago made her life miserable. Now she is dependent on others even for her daily chores. She wants the government to ensure that this does not happen to her children. Steps should be taken in this direction as soon as possible.

Madkam Sukki, a resident of Bhimapuram, lost her legs this year in an IED blast placed under a Mahua tree. 14-year-old Madkam says that her mother died when she was a child. Three years ago, her father was killed by Naxalites. Now this accident has left him disabled. She wants the government to somehow stop this trend. What happened to her should not happen to anyone else. Steps should be taken for the better education and safety of girls.

Jairam Ek, associated with Bastar Shanti Samiti, said that till now, propaganda was done against the security forces to justify Naxal violence in Bastar. Therefore, about 50 victims have been brought to the capital with Pratyaksh and their voice has been conveyed to the policy makers. The Home Minister has also talked to all these victims and assured them that Naxalism will be eradicated soon.
