After the revolt of 1857, the revolutionary leader and initiator of the revolt, Nana Saheb Peshwa, also stayed here secretly. Nana Saheb Peshwa stayed here and built rooms for self-defense and also installed the idol of Radha-Krishna, which is still present today.
