Bhojrajji, the uncle of Jesaji Vesaji, a great man of Sarvaiya Sheikh, attained Shiva at this place and built a temple here and this temple was named Bhojanath Mahadev after him.
Nana Saheb Peshwa was living here secretly
The history of Bhojanath Mahadev Temple, which is the center of faith of many people from a religious point of view, is also associated with the freedom struggle. After the revolt of 1857, the revolutionary leader and initiator of the revolt, Nana Saheb Peshwa, also stayed here secretly. Nana Saheb Peshwa stayed here and built rooms for self-defense and also installed the idol of Radha-Krishna, which is still present today. After the construction of this Shiva temple 600 years ago, renovation work was done in different phases and now when the month of Shravan is going on, many devotees come to see Shiva in the lap of nature.
