Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said that these results have made it clear that the web of 'fear and confusion' woven by the BJP has been broken. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge praised the party workers and said that people have rejected the arrogance, misgovernance and negative politics of the BJP.

Congress said that the results point towards the changing political environment in the country. Kharge said that this is a proof of the falling political credibility of Modi-Shah. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that the people of Devbhoomi, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have trusted the Congress and people have come to know that the politics of misleading people 100 years ago and 100 years later will not benefit the country.
