The groom brought the American bride from Pratapgarh, UP, took seven rounds with Indian customs

A unique wedding was seen in Pratapgarh, UP. An American girl came to India with her family and fell in love with a young man from there. Ravi Prakash, a resident of Balha, has taken seven rounds with the American bride after seeing the fire in the presence of the Pandit as per Indian customs. Along with this, he also swore to support him for seven births. More than one and a half dozen relatives, including the bride's parents, came to Belha from America to witness the wedding ceremony organized as per Indian tradition.

Ramesh Pratap Singh lives in his ancestral house in the village after retiring from the army. Ramesh Singh's son Ravi Prakash Singh, after doing B.Tech from Guwahati, took admission in Georgia Tech University of America to do MS in Data Science. After completing MS in 2016, Ravi got a job in Asurion company in America. It was here that he met American resident Loren Omhain. Friendship gradually turned into love and both decided to get married. At first Ravi's father was not happy with this marriage but after persuasion by the family members, he agreed. Ultimately the wedding date of Ravi Prakash and Lorraine Omhain was fixed as 18th February. It was also decided that this marriage would be done as per Hindu customs as per Indian tradition.

Lorraine O'Haen, her parents Mary Joy O'Haen and Barry O'Haen and half a dozen relatives came to Belha from the US to take seven rounds with Ravi. After Haldi on Saturday, various wedding rituals were performed from morning till evening on Sunday. After Jaymala at night, the Pandit completed the marriage ceremony with Vedic chanting. Earthen lamp, turmeric, Chandal and chanting mantras. The American bride was stunned to see so many colors of Indian culture.

One and a half dozen people who came from America to see the wedding of Lorraine O'Hare and Ravi Prakash Singh were stunned to see the wedding ceremony. Guests from America say that so much money is spent on ceremonies like weddings in India.
