Dehradun, 10 November (HS). Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the Prime Minister has shown his affection for Uttarakhand by expressing concern about the languages spoken in Uttarakhand and migration. The Chief Minister has said that the state government will move forward considering the nine requests of the Prime Minister as the basic mantra of development.
On this occasion, in his address on the State Foundation Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made public nine requests regarding Uttarakhand, out of which five requests were addressed to the people of Uttarakhand, while four requests were addressed to the tourists and pilgrims coming here. Now the Uttarakhand government is going to make the Prime Minister's requests the basis of its policies.
The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has emphasized on the preservation of all the dialects of Uttarakhand including Garhwali, Kumaoni, Jaunsari. He also appealed to the migrants to maintain ties with their villages and preserve their traditional style Tibari houses. It is clear from this that the Prime Minister has a special affection for Uttarakhand, hence the government will work on all the requests of the Prime Minister through public cooperation.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Prime Minister has also warned tourists about the dangers of single-use plastic in the mountains. The state government has already made concrete arrangements for disposal of plastic waste in Char Dham. Along with this, efforts to return plastic waste through QR code on the Yatra route are also bearing fruit. After the Prime Minister's appeal, there will be awareness among tourists about this. Similarly, as per the Prime Minister's request, stalls of women self-help groups are being set up on the yatra route so that tourists can purchase more and more local products.
Subsidy to films in local languages:-
The Chief Minister said that the government is already giving special encouragement to the production of films in regional dialects to preserve the dialect languages. To promote folk culture, the government is providing assistance to various fairs, Igas and Harela festivals are now being celebrated with great pomp.
Promotion of traditional style houses in home stay:-
Similarly, the government is encouraging people to preserve their traditional Tibari houses and register them as home stays. To strengthen the attachment of migrants to Uttarakhand, the government has also started organizing the Pravasi Uttarakhandi Conference from this year itself. Now with the Prime Minister's address, all these programs will gain further momentum.
Emphasis on environmental protection:-
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also appealed to plant a tree in the name of Mother. After the appeal of the Prime Minister, the state government will give further impetus to this campaign, now on the occasion of Harela festival in Sawan, plantation was done on a large scale, due to which the green cover is expected to increase in Uttarakhand. Similarly, the government will launch a massive campaign in line with the Prime Minister's appeal to maintain the cleanliness and purity of natural water in Uttarakhand. For this, streams, canals and small streams of Uttarakhand will be specially conserved.
Dignity of Dhams will be ensured:-
The Chief Minister said that he has appealed to the travelers to follow the traffic rules for safe movement in the mountains and has also asked them to take care of the sanctity of the Dhams, it is expected that the dignity of the Dhams will remain intact.
