Ranchi, September 22 (HS). Following the strict guidelines given by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Jharkhand General Graduate Qualification Combined Competitive Examination, 2023 was conducted fair, malpractice-free and peacefully on 21st and 22nd September 2024 by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission.
On successful conduct of the examination in 823 examination centres set up in all the districts of the state, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has said that strict instructions have already been given to the officials to maintain complete honesty and transparency in competitive examinations. He had said- “At any cost, no tampering with the hard work of the youth of Jharkhand will be tolerated. I am repeating again, I am cautioning that no one should try to do anything wrong even by mistake.
Strict instructions were given to follow the SOP in all circumstances
The Chief Minister had held a high-level meeting through video conferencing with senior officials and Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of all districts on September 19 regarding the successful conduct of the JSSC-CGL examination. He had clearly told the officials to ensure that the rules issued by the JSSC are not violated in the CGL examination. Along with this, the SOP made by the JSSC should be strictly followed. Along with ensuring continuous monitoring at every level, the Chief Minister had instructed to monitor social media sites and take strict action against those spreading rumors. Due to these instructions of the Chief Minister, the long-pending JSSC-CGL examination was successfully conducted today at all the examination centers.
Security arrangements were made at the examination centres
Following the strict instructions given by the Chief Minister, tight security arrangements were made at all the examination centres for the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Qualification Combined Competitive (CGL) examination organised by JSSC. Along with static force, police patrolling was also being done continuously at the examination centres. Candidates were being allowed to enter the examination centre only after thorough checking. Strict surveillance was being maintained around all the examination centres. Candidates were not being allowed to carry any other items or gadgets apart from the necessary documents.
Massive raids were conducted in hotels, restaurants, hostels, guest houses and lodges
The Chief Minister had given strict instructions to prevent the possibility of paper leak in JSSC-CGL. He had said that cases of paper leak should not happen at any cost. If any such case comes to light, strict action will be taken against those involved in it. After these instructions of the Chief Minister, continuous raids were conducted in hotels, restaurants, lodges and guest houses located in all the districts before the examination. During this, the people staying here were also questioned thoroughly. Due to these steps taken by the state government, the JSSC-CGL examination was successfully conducted.
The allegations made by two candidates in Hazaribagh are baseless
In Hazaribagh district's Jack and Jill School, Singhani, examination center, shortly after the examination started, two students in room number 9 and room number 13 made allegations regarding which the center superintendent went to those examination rooms and got complete information from other candidates, in which the allegations made by them were found to be baseless. It was also informed that all the instructions and SOPs given by JSSC and district level have been strictly followed by the center superintendent and all the invigilators in this examination center.
Due to the efforts of the Chief Minister, CGL- 2023 was successfully conducted after eight years
The result of the tireless efforts of the Chief Minister was that the Jharkhand General Graduate Qualification Combined Competitive Examination, 2023, pending for almost eight years, was conducted in a peaceful, malpractice-free and transparent manner. It is known that for the last 8 years, there has been some kind of controversy regarding the conduct of this examination, due to which there were many obstacles in conducting this examination. This examination was canceled on 28 January this year after the matter of paper leak came to light. But the Chief Minister was constantly keeping an eye on completing the process of JSSC – CGL examination, so that the commitment to give jobs to a large number of youth could be fulfilled.
