Central and state governments have come up with many schemes for women this year. Women have got a lot of financial help from these schemes. The government has brought these schemes to take women towards self-employment and strengthen their economic condition. Let us know what schemes have come for women this year.

Bima Sakhi Scheme

Prime Minister Modi recently launched the Bima Sakhi scheme from Haryana. The objective of Bima Sakhi scheme of Life Insurance Corporation of India is to make women financially strong and self-reliant. The beneficiaries of this scheme are called Bima Sakhi. These Bima Sakhis encourage the women of their area to take insurance and help them in getting insurance. This scheme is for 10th pass women between 18 to 70 years. Under this scheme they will be trained for the first 3 years. They will also get honorarium during this period. After training, women can be appointed as LIC agents.

Subhadra Yojana

On the occasion of Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, Karnataka government launched Subhadra Yojana. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 10,000 is given to the women of the state in 2 installments in a year. Women between 21 to 60 years can avail the benefit of this scheme. The state government is providing the benefits of the scheme to economically weaker women. To avail the benefits of the scheme, it is necessary to enroll in the Food Security Scheme.

Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana

This scheme has been started by Delhi Government this year. Earlier, Delhi government had said to give Rs 1000 per month to women under this scheme. Now this amount has been increased to Rs 2100. However, women will get the benefit of this scheme after the Delhi elections.
