Peshawar: A fire broke out in a girls school in Haripur village of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan due to a short circuit. The school was mostly made of wood, but as soon as the flames were seen, the teachers immediately took over the school. The girls got out of the building. Therefore, about 1,400 school children escaped safely. But the fire was so fierce that the school building was burnt to ashes before it reached Laibamba.
Giving this information, an official said that it took time to reach Laibamba as the road was passing through the mountains but the local people had already started sprinkling water.
Haripur Rescue 1122 spokesperson Faraz Jalal said that around 1400 girl students were studying in that school but all of them escaped safely. Since most of the building was made of wood, the school building was burnt to ashes.
