Kathmandu, 12 October (Hindustan Reporter). The program of bhoomi pujan and foundation stone laying ceremony of the headquarters building of Nepal Communist Party (EML), which opposes religious rituals and worship, was completed on Saturday with full classical rituals and recitation of Vedic mantras. The President of Nepal Communist Party, who has been advising party workers to stay away from religious matters, was himself seen performing puja as per the rituals.
The bhoomi pujan and foundation stone laying ceremony of the headquarters building of the ruling CPN (ML) in Nepal was completed on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami in Kathmandu. Party chief and country's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli along with his wife were present as chief hosts in this Bhoomi Pujan program. The Pandit who conducted the Bhoomi Pujan completed the work of Bhoomi Pujan and foundation stone laying along with Vedic mantras.
The headquarters of CPN (ML) in Kathmandu was completely destroyed in the recent floods. The ground floor portion of the party headquarters, located at some distance from the Bagmati river bank, was completely filled with water. All the papers and furniture there were washed away in the water. The boundary wall of the party headquarters has also been completely broken. For this reason the party decided to construct a new party office at a new location.
Prime Minister Oli also addressed this program. He has talked about equipping this new office to be built with state-of-the-art facilities. This office is being constructed in approximately 5000 square feet. This land has been donated by Nepalese businessman Bahadur Gurung.
