The Food Department team raided Annapurna Cold Storage in VKI

Jaipur, May 28 (HS). As part of the campaign being run by the Medical and Food Department, action was taken on Annapurna Cold Storage in VKI Industrial Area on Tuesday. During the action, the powdered goods of Amit Enterprises Chhoti Chaupad Jaipur (Gulzari Lal Gupta), SK Foods Road Number 14 VKI (Mudit Khandelwal) and SL Foods Murlipura Naya Kheda Jaipur (Mahavir Jain) kept in the cold storage were seized on the basis of suspicion and samples of all were taken.

7,350 kg of chilli powder of Amit Enterprises, around 17,375 kg of chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander of SK Foods which included 15,000 kg of chilli powder and 11,350 kg of SL Foods which included 8,450 kg of chilli powder, 230 kg of turmeric and 600 kg of coriander ground masala were seized.

The fact has also come to light that SL Foods is violating government rules by getting spices ground in bulk and selling them in the open without labels. This is the biggest seizure action of spices in Rajasthan so far.
