Moradabad, June 24 (HS). The work of developing the vacant space outside the Public Works Department office in Civil Lines as a vending zone under the Smart City scheme has been completed. Stalls for 20 to 25 vendors have also been arranged here. At these stalls, residents of Pitalnagar will be able to taste various dishes like Moradabadi dal, fast food, juice, chaat-pakodi, Italy, dosa etc. Municipal commissioner Divyanshu Patel said on Monday that this first vending zone of the metropolis is almost ready. It will be inspected soon and if some deficiencies are found, they will be removed and after inauguration, it will be allotted to the vendors.
A vending zone has been developed in about 1000 square meters of vacant space in front of Ambedkar Park and outside the Public Works Department office in the Civil Lines area. This will be the first beautiful vending zone of the metropolis where people will also have the facility to park their vehicles. Earlier this place was not being used. But after the vending zone was built, this place is now attracting people's attention. Smart City officials say that after the construction of this vending zone, while the vendors will get a better place for employment, the people of the city will also get to taste different types of food items at one place. Vendors are also waiting for its allotment.
There will be parking facility for 100 vehicles
There is a problem of parking near this new wedding zone because there are many offices of various departments along with Public Works Department Office, District Hospital, Electricity Office. Many a times traffic jams occur due to haphazardly parked vehicles. Parking facility for about 100 two-wheelers and four-wheelers can be arranged here.
