Ahmedabad News: The first meeting of the Governing Body of Gujarat Institution for Transformation GRIT was held in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
In this meeting, discussions were held regarding the expanded scope of work and supporting arrangements of GRIT. GRIT’s newly appointed CEO S. At this meeting, Aparna gave a presentation on the initial operational outlook of GRIT so far.
GRIT, working as a think tank and innovation hub of the state government, coordinated and consulted with various departments for the implementation of the recommendations of the task force committee appointed by the state government and held detailed discussions in this regard.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, while addressing the first meeting of the governing body, suggested that GRIT should be done through data analysis of social impact, benefits etc. of the public welfare schemes of the state and central government.
Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai, Health Minister Rushikesh Patel, Industry Minister Balwant Singh Rajput, Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel and Education Minister Kuberbhai Dindor also participated in this meeting.
In the detailed discussion of this meeting, it was said that since the Growth Hub model suggested by NITI Aayog has been implemented for Surat region, now GRIT should help in institutional arrangements to gradually expand it to other areas of the state. .
During this meeting, MoU was signed between IIM Ahmedabad and GRIT. The MoU aims to leverage the knowledge, skills, expertise and networks of IIM Ahmedabad in various key issue-schemes of the State Government.
