Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the first budget of the third term of the Modi government today. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has reached Parliament with her team carrying the budget tablet. As per the scheduled time, the Finance Minister will start presenting the budget in Parliament at 11 am. Union Budget 2024-25 will be Nirmala Sitharaman's 7th budget as Finance Minister.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman first reached the ministry and held a meeting with the officials. After this, she reached Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet President Draupadi Murmu, where the President fed her curd and sugar. After this, she reached Parliament House. The Finance Minister will also present the budget of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Especially the middle class, farmers, employees and women have high expectations from this budget. The budget presented in February this year was an interim budget because the Lok Sabha elections were to be held after two months. This budget will also give a glimpse of the Modi government's goal of making India developed by 2047. Changes in tax slabs and increase in Kisan Samman Nidhi can be seen in the budget. Apart from this, to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel, they can be brought under the ambit of GST.
