The film 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' based on the life of Veer Savarkar will soon be available to watch at home. This film was released on 22 March in Hindi and Marathi languages. Now this film will be released on OTT platform on May 28.
The film 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' will be released on May 28 on ZEE5. In this film, Ankita Lokhande has played the role of Savarkar's wife Yamunabai. Speaking about the digital release, Randeep Hooda said in a statement, “I am looking forward to the world digital premiere of the film Swatantra Veer Savarkar on Zee 5. There can be no better day than his 141st birth anniversary to release a film on the most influential revolutionary of the Indian armed revolution.”
He said, “When I started working on this film, I learned a lot about this inspiring hero. I want this film to reach as many people as possible in response to the lies spread to erase his legacy. I request every Indian to watch this film to know the unknown facts of Indian history and decide for yourself whether Veer Savarkar was really a hero or not.”
The makers have spent Rs 20 crore for the production of the film 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar'. The film grossed a total of Rs 31.23 crore at the worldwide box office. In an interview, Randeep Hooda had said that his father spent money for the production of this film and sold the property he had bought in Mumbai.
