Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing, Pratima Bagri, while addressing the health check-up camp of field level health and women child development department workers organized at Primary Health Center Sohawal and Community Health Center Kothi on Wednesday, said that when the mother power will be healthy and strong, Only then will the family and society also become stronger.

He said that women are the pivot of any family. She takes care of every member of the family without worrying about her nutrition and health. ANM, Asha, Anganwadi workers, assistants and women workers of other departments working in the plains, who are engaged in serving women in rural areas. These camps have been started on the occasion of Mother Safety Day to check their health.

He said that the facility of primary screening of common diseases like blood pressure, sugar, anemia and breast, cervical and oral cancer is being provided in these camps. The Minister of State said that if these three types of cancer are known in their primary stage, they can be treated and diagnosed. He also appealed to all the field workers and women to attend these camps and avail the facility of health check-up.

District Program Officer Saurabh Singh and Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. LK Tiwari gave information regarding the objectives of the testing camp and the testing and treatment. CVMO Alka Mohale and Dr. A. Dwivedi said that the check-up camp on Mother's Safety Day is a day to provide service to the workers providing health and nutrition services to women. He appealed to all the workers present to undergo 5 types of health checkups. The Minister of State inspected Civil Hospital Sohawal and also took information about the arrangements of the camp, women's registration stall and the results of the investigation.

On the initiative of Minister of State Pratima Bagri, camps are being organized at the field level for health check-up of departmental women workers providing health and nutrition services to women and children. Six such camps will be organized in Raigaon assembly at Sohawal, Kothi, Shivrajpur, Nagaud, Raigaon and Singhpur.

427 field workers got tested in the testing camp

On the occasion of CBMO Alka Mohale Mother Safety Day, 5 types of health related check-ups were conducted for 157 field department workers in the health check-up camp organized in Sohawal and 270 field department workers in the camp of Kothi Hospital. In the testing camp at Kothi, eye examination of 122 patients was done and spectacles were distributed to 35 people and three cataract patients were referred for surgery. Of these, blood test of 38, sugar test of 41, anemia test of 23, 5 cervical, 7 oral, 11 breast cancer and other 23 tests were done. Out of which, symptoms of BP were found in 3 women, diabetes in 4 and 1 woman of anemia. There were no positive tests for cancer. Similarly, in health center Sohawal, a total of 157 people were examined, 36 eye tests, 33 blood pressure tests, 31 sugar tests, 16 anemia tests, 7 cervical, 11 oral and 9 breast cancer tests and 14 other tests were done. Out of which 4 patients were found to have symptoms of blood pressure, 3 patients of diabetes and 2 patients of anemia. No patient was found positive in cancer test.
