Varanasi, 20 April (HS). A young man living in a rented house in Khojwan Sarayanandan of Bhelupur police station area committed suicide by hanging himself. After receiving the information on Saturday, the police reached the spot, after investigation and interrogation, sent the body for post-mortem.
Lakshmi Narayan Srivastava lives with his family in Sarayanandan Khojwan in a rented room. Lakshmi Narayan supports his family from a momos shop in the area. His son Prince Srivastava alias Golu (22) used to work in cultural programs. Last Friday afternoon, Lakshmi Narayan had gone to Vindhyachal with his family for darshan and worship. Golu was alone in the house. When I returned home late at night after worshiping Lakshmi Narayan, the door of the room did not open even after knocking. Seeing no response from the room even after shouting loudly, the neighbors and the landlord also reached there. Everyone together raised their voice. But when the locked room was not opened, the police was informed about the incident.
When the police broke the door of the room, everyone was stunned to see the scene inside. Golu's body was hanging in the noose of the saree. When no suicide note was found in the room during investigation, the police took the body into their custody. During interrogation, why did Golu take the suicidal step? Even the family members could not tell.
