Gopalganj, August 21 (HS). A Rajasthan couple has officially adopted a child growing up in a special adoption institute running under the aegis of the District Child Protection Unit on Wednesday. They had applied to the DM's court to adopt the child. After completing all the legal procedures, the child has been adopted today. District Officer Md. Maqsood Alam today passed the adoption order after hearing the adoption case finally in the Collectorate office room. While hearing the adoption case finally, the DM passed the adoption order after examining all the necessary documents as well as the child's health test report etc. and handed over the child to the couple.
Along with the prospective adoptive parents of Rajasthan and the adopted child, Assistant Director of District Child Protection Unit Prashant Mishra, Assistant Director, District Child Protection Unit Dilip Kumar, Accountant Kumari Annu, Social Worker Ramakant Gupta Counsellor and Vijay Kumar Coordinator, Special Adoption Institute etc. were present. The DM handed over the child to the parents of the child after completing all the procedures and told them in detail about the upbringing of the child.
In the last three years, half a dozen children have been given to adoptive parents by the Special Adoption Institute. To promote the adoption of children in the country, a new provision has been made mandatory in the Adoption Regulations-2022. Under this, those children who have not been able to find families within their fixed referral cycle can now be adopted by RI, NRI, OCI and PAP irrespective of their seniority, under which the DM handed over the child to the couple from Rajasthan. The husband and wife were very happy with the child.
He said that our family is blessed by getting a child in the form of God. The District Officer appealed to the people of the district that if any orphan or abandoned boy or girl is found, then hand him/her over to the Special Adoption Institute, Hajiapur of the District Child Protection Unit, run by the Social Welfare Department and if any childless couple wants to adopt a child, then they can apply online through the Care website.
