The eligible people are now getting the plots allotted to them on Panchayat land 42 years ago in Nanhedi

Fatehabad, June 26 (HS). The work of marking the plots allotted to the poor on Panchayat land about 42 years ago in village Nanhedi of Kulan area of the district has finally been completed peacefully for the third time. The happiness of the poor families who were waiting for the plot for a long time knew no bounds when the Revenue Department completed the marking work and gave possession of Panchayat plots of 100 yards each to 14 beneficiaries.

On Wednesday, the Revenue Department team reached Nanhedi village and marked the plots under the supervision of Duty Magistrate Gaurav Wadhwa, SDO of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Tohana. Although a huge police security force was deployed for security on the spot, there was no hindrance in the marking work. Due to the marking work, the dream of 14 eligible families of the village to have their own house has been fulfilled.

Let us tell you that in the year 1982, the then local Gram Panchayat had allotted 100-yard plots to poor families on the village panchayat land, but call it government's negligence or administration's carelessness that till now these eligible families were not getting possession of the plots. Due to this, eligible families have been demanding ownership rights on the plots for a long time. Recently, eligible people had complained about this to the Block Development and Panchayat Officer and demanded possession.

After this, acting on the instructions of higher officials, the Revenue Department team measured these plots and handed over possession to the eligible families. Earlier also, the Revenue Department had tried to mark these plots twice, but due to opposition from some people of the village, the team had to return empty-handed both times.
