Lucknow, 06 August (HS). Anjali Jatav, a woman who had come to the capital Lucknow for justice, committed suicide. The woman has a child of about one year. On getting information about this sensitive matter, a delegation of SP Mahila Sabha reached the hospital on Tuesday to meet the victim. The condition of the woman who attempted self-immolation is said to be critical.

Today the woman Anjali reached Lucknow from Unnao with her one year old child. Here she came out after the hearing of the petitioners in the Janta Darbar and then committed suicide under suspicious circumstances. The police present on the spot extinguished the fire and sent the woman to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the police personnel took the crying child on the road under their protection and started investigating the entire incident and taking action. In this case, a delegation led by the National President of SP Mahila Sabha, Juhi Singh, reached the Burn Unit of Civil Hospital, KGMU Trauma Center. Here the woman's condition was enquired. The doctors declared the woman's condition critical.

Regarding the victim, Juhi Singh said that the woman's condition remains critical. This incident shows the BJP government's insensitivity towards women. The government is not serious about crimes against women. If the woman had got justice earlier, she would not have had to come to Lucknow today and take a step like self-immolation.

The delegation included Reebo Shrivastava, State President of Women's Assembly, Nahid Lari Khan, Spokesperson, Puja Shukla, Former Candidate from Lucknow North Legislative Assembly, Shakeel Nadvi, State President of Minority Assembly, Anita Shrivastava, Mamta Sharma, Lata Jaiswal, Salma, Shabnam, Shabina Khan, Munni Pal, Vijay Laxmi and Reena Kaur.
