Jaipur, July 11 (HS). The date of age calculation for admission in government schools and non-government schools has been fixed as October 1, 2024. Director Secondary Education Ashish Modi said in an order on Thursday that boys and girls who complete 6 years of age by October 1 will be eligible for admission in schools.
He said that government schools, non-government schools, kindergartens, kindergartens, pre-primary or other institutions where education is provided before class one. The prescribed date of 1 October 2024 will not be applicable for age calculation on boys and girls studying in such educational institutions. Similarly, the rule of minimum age of 6 years on the prescribed date of 1 October 2024 will not be applicable on boys and girls taking admission on the basis of TC.
The Director of Secondary Education informed that the rule of minimum age being 6 years by October 1, 2024 will be applicable only on the students taking admission in class one for the first time on the basis of age under RTE or non-RTE, by calculating the age by date of birth.
