Prayagraj, 30 July (HS). For the convenience of the building owners of the city, on the request of the councilors and the order of Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, the period of exemption of house tax and self-assessment form has been extended till the last date of August.
Chief Tax Assessment Officer PK Dwivedi has said that this is the last chance for those building owners who have not yet filled and submitted the self-assessment form for self-assessment. All such building owners can fill the self-assessment form for their building and submit it by the last date of 31 August and can also deposit the house tax of their building in August with 10 percent discount.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Municipal Corporation, keeping in view the revenue interest of the Municipal Corporation in public interest, like last year, in this financial year 2024-25 also, in case there is no arrears on the current demand of house tax, 12 percent interest will be charged as rebate and late fee as per the manner mentioned in the Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, along with 10 percent discount from 01 to 31 August and the date for filling the self-assessment form will also be allowed till 31 August.
