The court sought a reply from ASI advocate on the demand for conducting a survey of Lord Krishna's idol

Prayagraj, 04 July (HS). Allahabad High Court has ordered to hand over the copy of the application given in civil suit number three filed demanding the formation of SIT and ASI survey and appointment of Advocate Commissioner in the case of the idol of Lord Krishna allegedly buried in the stairs of Shahi Mosque in Agra to ASI advocate Manoj Singh.

The court has ordered the ASI advocate to file a reply. Along with this, it has also ordered to give a copy of the pending application to make the management committee of Shahi Idgah Mosque a party to the plaintiff advocate. The court has fixed the date of next hearing on 5th August.

This order has been given by Justice Mayank Kumar Jain while hearing the civil suit of Thakur Keshav Dev Ji Maharaj Virajman Mandir Katra Keshav Dev and others. In this civil suit, a demand has been made to conduct a survey of the burial of the idol of the Lord under the stairs of Shahi Masjid of Agra after the demolition of Lord Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple Mathura on the basis of historical facts.

In another civil suit number ten Bhagwan Shri Krishna Virajman Katra Keshav Dev Khevat 255 and six others, the court ordered the plaintiff's advocate Shashank Singh to serve the copy of the suit to the opponent 1 and 2 within seven days and sought a reply from the opponent Shahi Idgah Mosque Committee's advocate Nasiruzzama within three weeks. A copy of another objection petition of the opponent on the maintainability of the civil suit was given to the plaintiff's advocate and he was given time to file objections. Both the cases have been directed to be presented for hearing on August 5.

It should be known that a total of 18 cases have been filed regarding the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mathura dispute. The Shahi Idgah Mosque Committee has raised objection on their maintainability under Order 7 Rule 11 of the Civil Procedure Code. On which, after a long debate from both sides in all the cases except two, the court had reserved the decision on 31 May 24. The decision on which is yet to come. Plaintiff Ashutosh Pandey, President of Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust Mathura, presented his side through video conferencing. Apart from him, Mahendra Pratap Singh also argued through video conferencing. Other lawyers also presented their side.
